Top tips
- Blending: I have never owned a juicer, and Carrot juice and Beet juice were traditionally made in my home using a blender. Just make sure to blend for quite a while (about 3 minutes) so as much juice as possible is extracted.
- Sieving: Sieving and removing solids does discard some fiber and nutrition, but it is inevitable (see below), but how much is discarded depends on what you use to sieve.
A sieve with larger holes will leave some grittiness in the juice, but more nutrients, a fine sieve will remove more solids, and a cheese cloth will leave out the most. - Sweetener: I did not add any type of sweetener to the juice, I found it had a subtle natural sweetness, but you can add your preferred one if you wish.
- Storing: This juice is a peak nutritiousness when fresh, but you can store it for a couple of day in a lidded jar.
