Banana Pancakes Healthy Recipe

  • EspaƱol
Portions: 4 portions

Calories: 170kcal

If you love bananas as much as I do, then how can you resist this banana pancake recipe? It makes fluffy, soft, and fresher-than-ever banana pancakes, and the whole stack of pancakes disappears in minutes.

Banana pancakes.

Why I ā¤ļø it

These fluffy, sweet, flavorful pancakes are so easy to make that even a child with a beginners-level skill in the kitchen can make them (children who are able to use the stove without assistance, it goes without saying). No children (or adults) will resist them, especially if they had a hand in making them.

I'm not a sweet breakfast person. It's savory for me any day, but these dairy-free fluffy pancakes are one of our family's favorite weekend breakfasts. They are not sickly sweet, with a lovely banana flavor, and are very quick and easy to make.

Coat a non-stick pan with oil (or brush with butter) and heat to medium temperature. Add four tablespoons of the banana mixture and cook until it's brown on one side. Flip and cook similarly on the other side.

Repeat with the rest of the mixture. Serve warm with garnish of your choice.

Top tips

  • If you love spices, a pinch of nutmeg and/or a Ā½ teaspoon of cinnamon powder to the batter. It can also go well with a teaspoon of vanilla extract.

Serving suggestions

You can also serve them topped with diced fresh pineapple, banana slices, diced mango, fresh berries (I crushed them a bit in the video to drizzle the pancakes with the juice), or whatever fruit you love. Greek yogurt is another great choice to serve alongside the

Crushed fruit on pancakes.

Depending on your preferences, you can drizzle with honey, add butter, or sugar-free syrup (see notes). Even plain, they are a treat.

The pancakes are sweet enough that no syrup or honey is needed. It's a matter of taste. I did not account for the honey in the Nutrition Facts. If you are looking for sugar-free syrup, I have bought this and this and liked both.

Variations

You can use all-purpose flour in lieu of whole wheat flour for fluffier pancakes. You can also add some chocolate chips to the pancake batter right before cooking.

You can also try these protein pancakes for another healthy option.

Best healthy pancake recipe, and I have tried many! Made these twice so far, delicious and you feel good after! Even my incredibly picky 2 year old demolished them, most he has eaten for breakfast in ages. Will be a staple in our house! Thanks for sharing.

Fantastic! Really easy to make and even my daughter who loathes bananas enjoyed them! I used ordinary milk and gluten free flour and they worked fine. Really pleased to have found a sugar free pancake recipe!

They may be a bit on the soggy side, at least that was my experience when I tried that. Not bad, just not as firm as before.

This is the best sugar-free pancake recipe that I have found. We always end up with ripe bananas and this recipe is a great resource for using them up.
I was looking for a recipe for pancakes that didn't call for sugar and your Google returned your blog link as one of the top searches. So glad I found you. We cook Venezuelan food on occasion - many your Dominican recipes are similar.
Look forward to trying more and passing them along to friends!

Thank you for a great recipe. Am trying to cut out sugar and dairy and these pancakes were delicious. My spouse never even notice there was no sugar. Used rice milk as spouse is allergic to tree nuts. Will definitely make again.
