Instructions
Step 1: Cut beef
Slice the beef steaks into thin strips (0.5 cm [¼ inch]), cutting across the grain.Using a paper towel, pat dry the thin slices.
Step 2: Season beef
Season the beef with garlic salt and ½ teaspoon of black pepper.
Step 3: Brown beef
Heat oil over high heat in the skillet or pan. Add the beef strips (careful with hot oil splatters!). Brown beef while stirring.Once the meat is browned, lower the temperature to medium-high heat.
Step 4: Add sauce
In a separate small bowl, mix the orange juice, cornstarch, tomato paste, brown sugar, coriander seeds, and hot sauce. Set aside.Add the orange mixture to the pepper strips and cook and stir for 30 seconds once it starts to simmer, let it reduce until the sauce is a bit thick. Taste and add salt and pepper to taste if necessary. Serve immediately.
