- ¼ cup butter [60 grams]
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon dried chili flakes or hot sauce, to taste (optional)
- 2 dozen large shrimp (uncooked, peeled)
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley or chopped cilantro
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice or lime juice
- 2 teaspoons salt (or more, to taste) divided
- 1 lemon cut into wedges
Instructions
1. Sauté garlic
- In a large skillet, heat the butter over low heat.Add the garlic and cook, stirring, until the garlic releases its aroma (1-2 minutes).Add half of the salt, chili flakes, and lemon juice, and cook, stirring, until the mixture is heated through again.
2. Cook shrimp
- Increase heat to medium.Add the shrimp and cook until the shrimp turn pink.Season with salt to taste, mix in the parsley, and remove from heat.
3. Serve
- Remove from heat and serve with lemon wedges.
