2cupsof whole milkor vegan substitute of your preference
½teaspoonof cinnamon powder
¼teaspoonof clove powder
½teaspoonsof salt
¼cupdry fruit mixor sultanas, or grated coconut
2tablespoonof brown sugaror ¼ cup of maple syrup (plus extra for serving)
Instructions
Step 1: Getting ready
Line the bottom of the baking pan with parchment paper. This will make it easier to serve.Heat oven to 350ºF [175 ºC].
Step 2: Preparing pears
Remove the pear cores with a melon baller. Set them aside.
Step 3: Mixing
Mix oatmeal, milk, cinnamon powder, clove powder, salt, dry fruits, and sugar. Heat it in a saucepan over medium heat and stir.Once it has started to thicken, remove it from the oven and pour it into the baking pan. Arrange the pears on top.
Step 4: Baking
Bake for 35 mins, or until you pinch the pears with a knife and they are soft.Remove from the oven. Serve and sprinkle with extra brown sugar, or drizzle with maple syrup to your taste.
Cook's notes
Once removed from the oven, let it cool down 5-10 minutes before serving.This makes a great dish to prepare beforehand and refrigerate in individual portions. Reheat for 90 seconds in the microwave to eat warm.
