½cupof butter at room temperaturedivided
8slicesof white bread
4small thinly sliced English cucumbers
Instructions
Step 1: Making the cheese paste
In the food processor bowl, combine Cheddar, cream cheese, ham, dill, and two-thirds of the butter.Pulse until it turns into a smooth paste.
Step 2: Making the sandwiches
Pat the cucumber slices with paper towels to absorb excess liquid.Spread the cheese paste evenly on one side of each bread slice. Layer half the cucumber slices between slices of bread (with the cream cheese spread facing the cucumbers). Butter the top of the sandwich, and place the remaining cucumber slices on top.
Step 3: Chilling
Place the sandwiches on a tray, wrap them in plastic film, and chill for an hour or until it's time to serve.Once it's time to serve, carefully cut the crust and cut each sandwich into 4 triangles or cubes.Serve chilled.
