We may think of lobster as a fancy ingredient, but this easy lobster pasta recipe will show you how to make an unforgettable dish with a few ingredients in just a few steps. The result will amaze your guests.

– 1 cup of minced sun-dried tomato – 4 tablespoons of olive oil – ½ cup sliced or minced pitted black olives – 4 garlic cloves, minced – 1 ¼ tablespoon of salt, divided – 1 ½ pound [1.13 kg] of fresh lobster tail meat cut into bite-size pieces – ⅓ cup dry white wine – ½ cup of chopped fresh basil, plus some leaves to garnish – 1 pound [0.45 kg] of small pasta shells, or penne – 1 teaspoon of pepper  – ½ teaspoon of chili flakes


Soak the dry tomatoes in abundant water for an hour. Remove from the water and squeeze to remove excess water.

Step 1:

Heat the olive oil over very low heat in a large skillet. Add the dry tomatoes, olives, ¼ tablespoon of salt, and garlic. Cook over low heat for about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 2:

In the meantime boil the pasta according to the instructions in the package, adding a tablespoon of salt to the pasta water.

Step 3:

Add the lobster tail and chopped basil to the tomato mix. Cook until the lobster meat has become white. Add the wine and cook until everything is heated through. Check and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 4:

Drain the pasta, and add it to the skillet. Stir to mix and serve right away. Sprinkle with chili flakes, Garnish with basil leaves.
