This yogurt dip or dressing is rich and flavorful but much lighter than expected. It takes seconds to make. These days Greek yogurt is showing up in many recipes. This dip is an excellent example of how you can use it in unexpected ways.

– 1 cup plain unsweetened Greek yogurt – 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard – 1 teaspoon onion salt – 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise (or sour cream) – 1 teaspoon of black pepper – ½ teaspoon sugar (white, granulated) – 1 tablespoon of minced chives to garnish – ¼ teaspoon sweet paprika to garnish (optional)


In a medium bowl, combine yogurt, sugar, mustard, onion salt, mayonnaise, pepper, chives, and onion powder. Mix well. Flavors deepen if the dip rests in the fridge for an hour or two.

Step 1:

You can sprinkle with a bit of sweet paprika before serving. Serve chilled.
